Ondas
On July 6, 2026, Ondas Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) announced the acquisition of DZYNE Technologies, a California and Virginia-based developer of long-endurance autonomous aircraft, kinetic counter-UAS systems, and attritable launched effects. The price was $875.8 million. It is the capstone of a two-year roll-up that has turned Ondas from a commercial drone and private wireless networking company into a multi-domain defense prime.
DZYNE joins a run of acquisitions that includes World View, Omnisys, Rotron, and Sentrycs. Together they form a new division called Ondas Sentinel. The pitch is a full kill chain: sense from the stratosphere, orchestrate command and control with AI, and neutralize threats with kinetic interceptors and electronic effectors.
The deal is almost entirely paper. Ondas paid $200 million in cash and roughly $675 million in newly issued stock, about 85 million shares. That dilutes existing shareholders while betting on a revenue ramp that has to happen fast: DZYNE is projected to hit $191 million in 2026 and clear $300 million in 2027.
The question is whether a company can buy its way into an "autonomous defense platform" faster than its own stock dilutes the shareholders financing the purchase.
